Summer species

The Park seems full to the brim with wildlife. Alpine flowers bloom on our mountainsides. Orchids make a dramatic show in meadows and road verges. Butterflies dance from flower to flower, taking advantage of hot summer sun. Swifts scream overhead in the day, while light evenings allow you to watch the silent bats hunting for insects. Woodland birds sing out their territories and mammals bring their young out to play at dawn and dusk.
